This Cookie Policy explains how Connexeon BV, trading under the name Wizzou, uses cookies and similar technologies on websites and services operated under the wizzou.com domain.

In this Cookie Policy, "Wizzou", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Connexeon BV trading as Wizzou.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how Wizzou processes personal data.

Products operated under separate brands, including Ominity and Onetagger, may use separate cookie and privacy policies. Where a separate policy applies to such a product, that policy takes precedence for that product.

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small pieces of information that may be stored on your device when you visit a website.

Cookies can be used for many purposes, including remembering preferences, maintaining sessions, protecting websites, measuring usage and understanding whether advertising campaigns result in visits or conversions.

Some cookies are set directly by Wizzou. These are commonly referred to as first-party cookies.

Other cookies may be set by external providers whose technologies are used on our websites. These are commonly referred to as third-party cookies.

3. SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

References to cookies in this Policy also include similar technologies where appropriate.

These may include:

  • browser local storage;
  • session storage;
  • tracking pixels;
  • web beacons;
  • tags;
  • advertising pixels;
  • server-side tracking technologies;
  • device or browser identifiers;
  • conversion measurement technologies;
  • other technologies used to store or access information on a device or measure interactions with our websites.

4. WHY WE USE COOKIES

Wizzou may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • operate and secure our websites;
  • remember preferences and consent choices;
  • maintain sessions and website functionality;
  • measure website usage and performance;
  • understand how visitors navigate our websites;
  • identify technical errors and improve user experience;
  • measure marketing and advertising performance;
  • attribute enquiries and conversions to marketing campaigns;
  • build or measure advertising audiences where permitted;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and malicious activity.

The cookies and similar technologies used by Wizzou may be divided into the categories described below.

6. STRICTLY NECESSARY COOKIES

Strictly necessary cookies are required for a website or service to operate correctly or securely.

They may be used for purposes including:

  • session management;
  • authentication;
  • security and fraud prevention;
  • load balancing;
  • network protection;
  • remembering privacy and cookie-consent choices;
  • providing functionality specifically requested by the visitor.

These technologies are not used primarily for advertising or behavioural profiling.

Where applicable law permits, strictly necessary technologies may be used without prior consent because they are required to provide the website or service requested by the visitor.

7. FUNCTIONAL COOKIES

Functional cookies may be used to remember choices or provide additional functionality that is not strictly required for the basic operation of the website.

They may remember information such as language preferences, interface preferences or other settings.

Where applicable law requires consent for these technologies, they will only be activated after the required consent has been provided.

8. ANALYTICS COOKIES

Analytics technologies help us understand how visitors use our websites and how our websites perform.

Depending on your consent choices, analytics technologies may collect information such as:

  • pages viewed;
  • session duration;
  • navigation paths;
  • referring websites;
  • device and browser information;
  • approximate location;
  • interaction events;
  • technical performance information;
  • conversion events.

Wizzou may use analytics technologies provided by or implemented through:

  • Google Analytics;
  • Google Tag and related Google measurement technologies;
  • Onetagger;
  • internal Wizzou analytics and tracking technologies;
  • other analytics providers used by Wizzou from time to time.

Where consent is required, analytics cookies and equivalent technologies will not be activated until the relevant consent has been provided.

9. MARKETING AND ADVERTISING COOKIES

Marketing and advertising technologies may be used to understand the effectiveness of campaigns, attribute conversions and, where permitted, provide or measure personalised advertising.

Depending on your consent choices, these technologies may process information about:

  • website visits;
  • advertising interactions;
  • traffic sources;
  • conversion events;
  • browser and device identifiers;
  • campaign identifiers;
  • audience membership;
  • other information used for advertising measurement or attribution.

Wizzou may use advertising and marketing technologies provided by:

  • Google Ads;
  • Meta;
  • Google Tag and related Google advertising technologies;
  • Onetagger;
  • internal Wizzou tracking systems;
  • other advertising or measurement providers used by Wizzou from time to time.

Where required by applicable law, marketing and advertising technologies will only be activated after you have provided the relevant consent.

10. SERVER-SIDE TRACKING

Wizzou may use server-side tracking technologies, including technologies provided through Onetagger or developed internally by Wizzou.

Server-side tracking allows certain website interaction and conversion information to be processed through infrastructure controlled or configured by Wizzou before information is forwarded to relevant analytics or advertising providers.

The use of server-side tracking does not remove the requirement for consent where consent would otherwise be required for the underlying analytics or advertising purpose.

Where consent is required, Wizzou will use consent signals to determine whether the relevant analytics or advertising processing may take place.

11. GOOGLE SERVICES

Depending on your consent choices, Wizzou may use services supplied by Google, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag and related measurement and advertising technologies.

Google technologies may process information such as device identifiers, browser information, IP address, website interactions, advertising identifiers and conversion information.

Google may process information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policies and may act as an independent controller for certain processing activities.

More information about Google's privacy practices is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

12. META SERVICES

Depending on your consent choices, Wizzou may use advertising and measurement technologies supplied by Meta, such as Meta Pixel or related conversion technologies.

These technologies may be used to measure advertising performance, understand conversions and create or measure advertising audiences.

Meta may process information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policies and may act as an independent controller for certain processing activities.

More information about Meta's privacy practices is available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/.

13. ONETAGGER

Wizzou may use Onetagger to support server-side tracking, analytics, advertising measurement and conversion processing.

Onetagger may receive information generated through interactions with Wizzou websites and process or route this information according to the tracking configuration and consent choices applicable to the visitor.

Where Onetagger is used for processing that requires consent, such processing will only occur where the relevant consent has been provided.

14. CLOUDFLARE AND SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES

Wizzou may use Cloudflare and similar infrastructure or security providers to protect websites, route traffic, prevent abuse and improve availability.

These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, HTTP requests, browser information and security indicators as part of providing network and security services.

Some security technologies may be strictly necessary and may therefore operate independently of optional analytics or marketing consent.

Where required by applicable law, Wizzou requests consent before storing or accessing non-essential information on your device or using non-essential tracking technologies.

When you first visit a relevant Wizzou website, you may be presented with a consent interface allowing you to accept, reject or configure different categories of technologies.

Withholding consent for optional cookies will not prevent you from using the basic functionality of the website, although certain optional functionality may be unavailable.

Consent applies only to the purposes and categories you choose.

You may change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time through the cookie or privacy controls made available on the relevant Wizzou website.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

After consent is withdrawn, previously stored cookies may remain on your device until they expire or are deleted, but Wizzou will no longer intentionally use them for purposes for which valid consent has been withdrawn where required by law.

17. BROWSER CONTROLS

Most browsers allow users to inspect, block or delete cookies through their settings.

You may also configure your browser to reject some or all cookies.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect the operation of certain website functionality.

Browser controls operate independently from Wizzou's consent controls and may vary between browsers and devices.

Cookies may be either session cookies or persistent cookies.

Session cookies are generally deleted when the browser session ends.

Persistent cookies may remain on the device for a defined period or until manually deleted.

The lifetime of a cookie depends on its purpose, configuration and the provider responsible for the technology.

Where available, information about individual cookies and their retention periods may be displayed through Wizzou's cookie consent interface or cookie settings.

19. FIRST-PARTY AND THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES

Some technologies used on Wizzou websites are operated directly by Wizzou.

Other technologies are supplied by third parties such as analytics, advertising, security or infrastructure providers.

Third-party providers may receive information generated through their technologies and may process that information under their own privacy policies.

Wizzou does not control the independent processing performed by third parties acting as separate data controllers.

20. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some analytics, advertising and technology providers may process information outside Belgium or outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, the safeguards described in Wizzou's Privacy Policy apply.

21. DO WE SELL PERSONAL DATA?

Wizzou does not sell personal data as a standalone commercial product.

The use of advertising and analytics technologies may involve transmitting identifiers or interaction information to third-party providers for measurement or advertising purposes where you have provided the required consent.

22. TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES MAY CHANGE

The technologies used by Wizzou may change over time as websites, marketing activities and technical services evolve.

For example, Wizzou may add, replace or remove analytics, advertising, performance or security providers.

Where required, new non-essential technologies will be added to the applicable consent controls before they are used.

The cookie consent interface should be consulted for the most current information about the categories and specific technologies active on the relevant website.

Where storing or accessing information on a visitor's device requires consent under applicable electronic communications or data protection legislation, Wizzou relies on consent.

Where a technology is strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the visitor or to operate essential website functionality, consent may not be required.

Where information obtained through cookies or similar technologies constitutes personal data, the further processing of that information is governed by the legal bases and safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

24. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Where information collected through cookies or similar technologies constitutes personal data, you may have rights under applicable data protection law.

These may include rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent, depending on the circumstances.

More information about these rights and how to exercise them is available in our Privacy Policy.

Wizzou may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our websites, tracking technologies, service providers, legal requirements or processing activities.

The current version will be published on the Wizzou website together with the date of the most recent update.

Where a change requires renewed consent under applicable law, Wizzou will request that consent through the relevant consent interface.
